Check_nt servicestate missing performance data

I've been searching all over as I'm sure this has been covered before - but I can't find anything to point me in the right direction.
Using XI 5.4.8 (about a week old install) and i've tried both nsclient and ncpa setups on some windows hosts to try and graph service status/service state however I can't seem to figure out the best way to trigger the performance data output for it. Any help would be great!
Trying to get some graphs on specific services on some hosts for visibility.
