It has to match the location in your systemd service file, which in your case was:

tastas wrote:PIDFile=/usr/local/nagios/var/run/nagios.pid

Additionally, it needs to be in a location that is writable by the nagios user and systemd services. I don't know all the specifics but some locations are restricted on different systems on where systemd can write to.
