Host Config File Restriction

We currently have a hostgroup that contains our core group of servers being managed by Contact Group A, but we would like to add Contact Group B to the hostgroup and give Contact Group B the ability to setup their own monitors and alerts for that hostgroup. Is there a way to setup Contact Group B to have their own alerts and monitors without affecting Contact Group A’s original settings?

@tbower, did you want to work on this through the ticket or this thread?

@dwhitfield preferably ticket, but I was asking in the general sense the community as well, to see if anyone has devised a way to support our plan.

I'm not sure the subject is the best to get community involvement. I'd change it to "Is there a way to setup Contact Group B to have their own alerts and monitors without affecting Contact Group A’s original settings?"

Generally, we try to keep things in either a ticket or on the forums, but I do understand the desire for community input.

"Is there a way to setup Contact Group B to have their own alerts and monitors without affecting Contact Group A’s original settings?"
is exactly what we are trying to perform. If preferred, we can close this out and delete it. We already have a ticket open regarding this subject. Just from my understanding of Nagios, so far there isn't an easy way to perform this capability without creating duplicate host files for a monitored item.

If you already have a ticket open on the topic I am going to lock this thread to prevent duplication of work by different staff members
