when restarting the nagios service with kill -HUP <nagios_pid> the service was stopped, and when restarting it no longer I have checked with / usr / local / nagios / bin / nagios -v /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg and I get error in files, but these files are well configured I have seen in some forums that I can restart it again with pid but it is not in / var / run / nagios_pid by the same process realized then as I restore the service if the arhivos are well configured

Can you please be more clear?

Did you restart nagios service and it stopped,then you killed the process?

How did you restart it? Did you use the command ?

Also,what version of core are you running?

What Linux distribution are you running; centos, redhat, ubuntu?

I need this information in order to help you.

now update the nagios from 3 .. to 4.1.1 and I copied the configuration of all the files I had in objects to the new folder / objects of nagios 4.1.1 and restarting the service comes out error but does not specify where I see that in the log files of nagios


total warnings 0
total error 1

before updating had nagios 3.x.x in ubuntu 12.04
After updating it comes nagiso 4.1.1 in ubuntu 12.04

also before updating the nagios to 4.1.1 execute the command kill -HUP pid_nagios (so says the manual) and then did not re-raise the nagios

but the current problem is now what I listed above first until total error 1 help pls
