Running into an issue with a user not being able to open nagiosxi email links to respond to a service problem for a server.
When the user clicks the respond email link a message appears stating "Not Authorized, You are not authorized to view the requested object, or the object does not exist.

Hi
@chelch,
It depends on what kind of user it is and their permissions.
The user can be an administrative or standard non administrative.
Obviously,the standard non administrative are going to have limited access.
So what permissions have user? You need to confirm user rights first so follow this guide....
Understanding user rights

You would want to check a box depending on your requirements. As of now, the user has no access, which is why the user is not authorized to view the object.
I'm not exactly sure by "User was setup as a monitoring contact"
Did you want this user to only have read-only access?
Also next to those checkboxes, there are questions marks that give descriptions to each one. You can take a look at it and decide what rights you want the user to have.
Let me know if this helps

Looks like by selecting "can reconfigure hosts and services" that gave the user the ability to access the link and acknowledge an alarm or disable a notification. I think I am good to go.
