Change Admin password breaks XI

Changed the default password for the Nagios IX Admin account. The following service had no errors before I changed the default password.

Followed the documentation for changing the password using this document: https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... 1506350809

Still getting the same errors...

What are we doing wrong?

Hi @mkeey,

Can you please post your

Code: Select all

/etc/sudoers
files so we can look at it?

did you change your password so it contained any special characters at all?

In additional to the sudoers (and double-checking the escaping of passwords), can you also attach your /etc/my.cnf?

We ended up rebuilding the virtual server. Original was built with a Chef recipe. Rebuild was done manually and it seems to be working. We have more Nagios XI virtuals to build so we will try Chef again and readdress if needed. Thanks for the assistance!

Great to hear! Did you have any more questions or are we okay to lock this up?
