I have Upgraded Nagiosxi to Version 5.4.11 and was thinking about updating the CentOS Server as well...
But: do i have to do this or is the Server Update integrated in thge Nagiosxi Update?
And if i update CentOS do i have to expect Problems with NagiosXI afterwards?

Which CentOS version do you have now, and which CentOS version are you updating to? Nagios XI does not do the OS update for you.

In general, let's say you have CentOS 5 and want to use CentOS 7. I would make a back up of your XI server by following --> https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios-XI.pdf

Then I would build a clean VM with CentOS 7 --> then install XI 5.4.11 --> then restore the backup you saved from the older server following the link I gave you again.

Hello, i am running CentOS release 6.8 (Final).

What i meant where the Updates in security and all the stuff like that just like the Windows always does when you Need it to start up fast .

It should work just fine, but in case you wanted to be sure. Since you have a Nagios XI License, you could try this on a testing server if you wanted to.

I did the and it gave me no headaches.
CentOs took about 150 Updates und 2 new installs. Worked fine.

I took a snapshot first though...
