Since upgrading NLS to 2.0, all our service checks in Nagios XI that monitor Nagios Log Server queries are now broken. They all return 'Server returned invalid output'.

Hi
@ngunderson,
You need to reactivate your Nagios Log Server license after performing an upgrade by going to
Admin >>
General >>
License Information.
Example:

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I did that when I upgraded. The issue exists after upgrade and activation.

Also tried regenerating the API key that was being used, and recreating the checks from scratch via the Configuration Wizard. Nothing makes a difference and this is all still broken.

Are the queries in Log Server broken as well? Or does everything work in your Log Server?
Are there any problems with logstash & elasticsearch?
Code: Select all
service logstash status
service elasticsearch status
Or are there any logs in the
/var/log/logstash/logstash.log

The queries work fine on Log Server.
The services are running.
There are logs in /var/log/logstash/logstash.log, but they relate to a different issue (failed parsing date from field, from a totally unrelated log).

Thanks for letting me know.
What version of the Nagios Log Server queries wizard do you have?
XI home --> Admin --> under System Extensions (config wizards) --> find Nagios Log server wizard.
Are you on 1.0.5?
