Hi Team,

Need your help to configure snmp trap sender in nagios core.

Scenario of requirement :

We have nagios core with around 1000 Host + Service configured. We have configured passive monitoring, all service reporting to nagios server via passive agent.

Need to configure received passive notification by nagios server send to the ITSM tool via snmp trap / alert.

Thanks,
Sandeep Patil.

We are going to need a little more information. Are you trying to use https://exchange.nagios.org//directory/ ... I)/details ?

Can you send us all of the relevant SNMP configs?

NSTI is one option, looking for configure in snmptt or file level change for send the snmp trap.

We have done in Nagios XI to enabling SNMP Trap in component with TISM server FQDN, this configuration collecting all passive check Hosts / Services in snmptt.log and sending to TISM tool.

If you have it set up and it's working to how you want it in Nagios XI. It should work the same in Nagios Core.

Did you use this documentation when setting up traps in for XI? It should apply to Nagios Core the same way.

In Nagios XI, enabled "SNMP Trap" in components and entered ITSM server IP with port number. After this configuration all passive notification from client convert into snmp traps and shown in snmptt.log.

Want know above flow, able to configure with the shared doc in previous comment.

We don't really have documentation, but NSTI and SNMPTT are good options.

It's the same setup for XI, just more manually through the command line instead of the UI.
