SNMP error forwarding user defined

Hi
Is there a way to configure the snmp forwarder to work, under a specifik user?
Etc. when you define a user he can also define the way he wants to recieve notifications. He can choose to have them delivered as email or sms ( delivered by email
).
Why can't he choose to have them delivered as a snmp trap.
We are currently using an old beta release of nagios core, where we can do this, and we need it, because we are a part of a huge technical organisation, and the master survuilance system requires to recieve snmp traps, and we, in my small function, has to define what it gets of traps.
The trap sender currently in use seems to send everything to the reciever, where the reciever has to sort it out, and thats not good enough, because it has thousands of checks, and we can't get access to configure it, from my department. We are currently surveying about a thousand servers with around 10 checks each. And doing this with 1 nagios server instalation, and instaling nrpe clients on all the servers. So this is not a small matter to us.
