Hi,

We are currently evaluating this product and have the following query.

Is it possible to allow users to access only logs generated from particular sources/devices? This is a very important feature as we would like certain users to have access only to the logs generated by their systems.

To give an example, the networks team should only have access to logs generated by routers etc, and they should not be able to see logs generated by certain servers/applications owned by other teams

The options available at the user administration interface are rather limited. I've tried to set up dashboards but users with view only access, can still query all sources

Am I missing something?

As of now there is no way to do this with Log Server.

Do you have any timelines when the feature will be implemented?

As of now, there is no ETA available for this feature. All I can say is, we have XI 5.5 coming out shortly.

After that major release has arrived then we may know what's being worked on next, or we may not. It's hard to say.
