Recently we struggle with some performance issue with our Nagios XI.
Therefore we decided to offload our database.
Everything went quite smoothly but after DB move we experience some issue with Configuration Wizards.

When we want to add new host via configuration wizards everything goes fine and we get information that configuration is applied successfully.
But when we want to view detail status for our host we get information that it doesn’t exist...

After further investigation we was able to determine that entry in our database is created correctly.
Also after configuration apply we see .cfg file in /usr/local/nagios/etc/import, of course only for few second because it should be moved to /usr/local/nagios/etc/hosts. Above move operation went successfully regarding to /usr/local/nagiosxi/var/cmdsubsys.log.

We can add host only manually via CCM, and it work as expected.
Could you give us some further investigation clue?

Where exactly are you seeing the error and what exactly does it say? Please provide a screenshot of it so we can have a better understanding.

Problem is that i can't see any errors...

After successfully changing configuration I do not have added host. When I try to search there is "No matching host found". DB log - machine is there:

Writing second message (because of next attachment).

cmdsubsys log says that "WRITE CONFIG SUCCESSFUL!" - but file "komov521.ec.local.cfg" is missing... We can add hosts and services manually via CCM - we can see them, it looks like the Configuration Wizards are not working.

Can you tell me where should I search next or how to resolve this problem?

Nagios and DB are both on CentOS 7
Nagios XI version 5.4.11
MariaDB 10.2.11

After running the wizard go to Configure > Core Config Manager > Quick Tools > Apply Configuration, and click the Apply Configuration button. Do you see the host after this? It looks like this occurs if the database is offloaded. I'll have to dig into this to determine why exactly.

Host didn't show up after this steps.

I have also checked in Configuration Snapshots - downloaded package, unzip it and checked usr/local/nagios/etc/hosts/ and the config file for added host is not there...

host.cfg file disappear from /usr/local/nagios/etc/import/
and is not moved to usr/local/nagios/etc/hosts/

Go through the wizard and then run /usr/local/nagiosxi/scripts/reconfigure_nagios.sh on the command line and let us know if this produces any errors. Also check the /usr/local/nagios/etc/hosts/ to see if the host is written.

I did like you have told. Output of script: After this steps host is not there..

We will need to look into your configs and log files in order to further troubleshoot the issue. Can you PM your profile (Admin > System Config > System Profile > Download Profile) to any of us on the Nagios Support team or open a support ticket in our Support Center?
