Best regard,
Good afternoon engineers, currently nagiosxi (XI 5.2.7 - Production) is running on a physical server (Redhat 5.11) and the database is external on a virtual server (Redhat 6.9).
The questions are the following:
I have a physical server of indenticas characteristics in performance, but it has already installed redhat 7.3 and (XI 5.4.11). Can you migrate all the data with rsync? (Scripts, data generated from monitoring, data from graphics, etc.) of the old server (Redhat 5.11 - XI 5.2.7) to the new server (redhat 7.3 and - XI 5.4.11) without presenting problems when starting the service for the first time time?
Or will it be better to first update the application from (XI 5.2.7 - Production) to (XI 5.4.11), and then pass the information from ((Redhat 5.11) to the new server (redhat 7.3)?
How can the server be updated as an application in the shortest possible time without affecting the service?
Thank you very much for your management, we are very attentive to your prompt response.
