Hi,
we have windows 2012 cluster (two nodes) and 5 SQL instances on it. We have a problem with monitoring it because eq on node 1 we have sql1 instance and in nagios we monitor sql1 service and disk G (on this dis ar sql files). When we move this instance to node2 we have an error in nagios: "invalid disk G" and "sql1 stopped". Is there any other way to monitor windows cluster with few sql instances?

Maybe I'm missing it, but how are you monitoring it now?

It would be helpful if you could PM me your Profile....but you can't do that until after your second post has been approved.

Once your second post has been approved though, you can download the profile by going to Admin > System Config > System Profile and click the ***Download Profile*** button towards the top. If for whatever reason you *cannot* download the profile, please put the output of View System Info (5.3.4+, Show Profile if older) in the thread (that will at least get us some info). This will give us access to many of the logs we would otherwise ask for individually. If security is a concern, you can unzip the profile take out what you like, and then zip it up again. We may end up needing something you remove, but we can ask for that specifically.

You can also generate a profile manually using the script at /usr/local/nagiosxi/html/includes/components/profile/getprofile.sh

That should generate a profile in /usr/local/nagiosxi/var/components/ which you can get off the server with an application such as FileZilla.

After you PM the profile, please update this thread. Updating this thread is the only way for it to show back up on our dashboard.

If you get an error that PROFILE BUILD FAILED, please see https://support.nagios.com/kb/article.p ... ategory=44

Doug is not in the office so if you'd like to PM the profile I can take a look.

I'd like to clarify something as well - is the G drive a shared drive? Do both nodes mount the drive as 'G' ?

One option would be to setup checks for each node instead of a cluster IP. Another would be to use the same letter to mount the drive on each node so if there is a switch over then the check for 'G' would still be valid.
