Interface Bandwidth SNMP

Hi all,

I was setting my Nagios office deploy, and i wondered if it was possible to monitor the networking devices interface bandwidth.
I know that for professional and advanced report there is Nagios Network Analizer, but perhaps for small/test environment something can be done via SNMP, right?! :?:
I found this check command: check_php_snmp_bandwidth, my intention is to create a new service with this command and apply to all router/switch.

Is there anyone that has already configured it to help me?

Thank in advance.
:D

Hello, @truman185. Have you tried the Network Switch/Router wizard in XI?

Hello npolovenko,

i've used that wizard for all networking device, activating the check host alive and interface status monitoring, do you mean that is possibile to monitor interface Bandwidth from that wizard?

Thank you

Hello npolovenko,

i checked the wizard, and i see that the "scan interface" feature seems to be perfect for the purpose, i activate the interface bw monitor, and i see that in the performance graph of the service is possible to view the history up to 1 year before!
Sounds very good, only one question: this type of service inherits the timer interval of other service like icmp right?

Thanks

@truman185, Hi, Do you mean like the check interval? You can specify these in Core Configurations Manager, in service check settings.
