Who disabled notifications?

Hello forum,

I just started in this forum after reading several other logs.
We have Nagios core running and we use for bigger changes in our environments the function to disable notifications so that not all the mails are send created during the maintenance time. This works fine.
Sometimes it happens that the person disabling the notification forgets to enable it again after the maintenance time. The disable and enable is loggen in the event log but is there a way to get the user being logged in and doing the disbale notification?
I searched my server for any log about it and only found the information I can see in the event log.

Any help would be fine and I will thank you for the time helping me.

Greetings

Torsten

Hello, @garfieldruhr. I believe there is no way to get this info on a Nagios Core. One solution may be to use a scheduled downtime instead of turning off and on notifications each time. You can also write a script that is going to re-enable service/host notifications at certain times by using external commands:
https://old.nagios.org/developerinfo/ex ... ndlist.php
https://old.nagios.org/developerinfo/ex ... mand_id=11
https://old.nagios.org/developerinfo/ex ... mand_id=95

Was there anything else related to the original question? Or are we alright to close this up?
