Hello,

Was trying to install the Nagios XI on the virtual machine using the below command. but getting a certificate error.

curl -sSL https://raw.github.com/learning-nagios/nagios- install/master/install.sh | sh

Curl is already installed on the machine and also internet access is provided to the machine.

Below is the error:

curl: (77) error setting certificate verify locations:
CAfile: /usr/share/ssl/certs/ca-bundle.crt
CApath: none

Could you guide me on troubleshooting this issue.

This is NOT how we recommend installing Nagios XI... Please, follow our official documentation below:

Hello,

Thank you for your response. Is this method applicable even for installing nagios XI on a virtual machine or do we have any other method.

Please confirm.

Regards,
Narayana

Yes, this is a manual install. You can use it to install Nagios XI on a physical server or a virtual machine.

You could also use our "rpm" install. Go to: https://repo.nagios.com/, then click on the appropriate tab, e.g. CentOS, RHEL, etc. to view the instructions.

You could also use one of our pre-build VMs: https://www.nagios.com/downloads/nagios-xi/

For more info, watch the "Install Nagios XI in under 10 minutes" guides on our youtube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgQn0Xt ... 2bgBAoMPUd

Hope this helps.
