I am trying to install nagios XI offline using tarball on RHEL 7 but it gives error every time during installation. we want to do only offline installation without help of internet because there is only intranet not internet facility.
So please help me if there is any procedure to install Nagios XI offline on RHEL 7. I have already checked the https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... 1522941039, it doesn't tell and help much. Everytime I run the install is tries to go out on the internet and fails.

When I run the full install it runs and fails at this place.

Do you have an access to base CentOS/RHEL repositories via a local repo or a mounted DVD?

What is the output of the following commands?

I ran it from /usr/ instead of /tmp

you have downloaded the wrong tarball, the doc says you need to get them from https://repo.nagios.com/

Please delete the folder you have and start over following closely

Thanks I have downloaded the correct offline tarball and followed the instructions from the offline doc. I ran the fullinstall and went through until it asked me what for password and I entered my root password and it aborted. It created a host of directories under /usr but it does not start the service.

I don't know where it would ask for a password.
Can you post the /tmp/xi-install.log file it created?

It did not create any install.log but while going through the install it says apache user not created using root and ask for password and then exits. Do we need to create the apache MySQL user before install or does it create while install??

It should install mysql and create the password during install.

This should be a minimal install system to start with, nothing extra pre-installed except the "Optional Channel" packages listed in the doc
