Modifying Nagios Configuration - RHEL

Hi! Newb here. Coming into an existing Nagios setup and need to modify the File Systems monitored by Nagios. I tried going to the Configuration Wizard for "Linux Server", entering the IP address of the server, and clicking Next, but it doesn't seem to be modifying the current settings for this server. I look at the Disk Usage settings and it's set to default of monitoring /. So it's as if this is trying to set up a new monitor rather than modifying the existing setup. Can someone point me in the right direction to modify an existing setup. Thank you very much! - Eric

You'll want to find the existing service's config under Configure > Core Config Manager > Monitoring > Services, and make the changes to that. Make sure to save and then apply changes afterwards.

Thanks cdienger! So I don't have access to the Core Config Manager, only Wizards. I asked for access to Core Config Manager, but our Nagios Admin can't seem to add me to that for just my servers rather than all servers. Is it possible to just have access to my assigned servers? Thanks!

@stonkers, Unfortunately, if the admin gives you acess to the Core Configuration Manager you'll be able to modify any service. The way nagios core was made is that many services depend or inherit properties from different services and templates. There are too many dependant variables that play a role and limiting you from accessing these variables could break the configs or not give you the result you were trying to achieve because of some third component that you don't have acess to.

@stonkers , Alright, I'll close this thread as resolved. However feel free to open a new thread if you'll have other questions in the future.
