Unable to apply configuration getting import failed error

Team,

Not able to apply the configuration getting import failed error for service which doesnt exist. I had deleted the host and service for one of the host but it gives error with that host and service name. i don't see this host or service in the core configuration manager

Below is the error message:

Error: Invalid max_attempts, check_interval, retry_interval, or notification_interval value for service 'disk load' on host 'cxxxxx-xxx''
Error: Could not register service (config file '/usr/local/nagios/etc/services/check_ms_win_disk_load.cfg', starting on line 16)

I have tried the config file management but still same issue.

Please advise

Hello, @naranant. In XI web interface please go to Configure -> Core Configurations Manager, then click on Tools -> Config File Management in the left column. Then perform the following actions in order:
1)Write
2)Delete
3)Write
4)Verify

Please copy and paste all the errors that you see in the output.

Hello,

The result as few duplicates and contains the host names which i dont want to paste it here. Let me know how i can send u the details to you for you review.

Please note the output didnt had any errors.

@naranant, You could run the following command and then send the support.txt file from the /tmp/ directory to me via private message on the forum.

Code: Select all

/usr/local/nagiosxi/scripts/reconfigure_nagios.sh > /tmp/support.txt
After you send it please write a message in this forum thread to bring it back up in the support queue.

@naranant, Can you remove the qs**p.cfg file from the /usr/local/nagios/etc/import/ folder(for now), and then rerun the reconfigure nagios script. If you get another error please send it to me in a PM again. If you don't have any errors this time please send me the /usr/local/nagios/etc/import/qs**p.cfg file so that i could review it.

The previous file was shared with the support team.

thank you so much npolovenko the removal of cfg from the import directory worked.

I couldnt figure out the error i am getting was nothing to do with the cfg file available in import so i didnt thought about removing that earlier.

Anyway it worked now thank so much..
