Is there a way to setup Nagios to send alerts to SMS without the use of other hardware or software. I have it setup for email alerts, but, I want to also set it up to send the alerts to cell phone numbers such as [email protected]

Simply use the "cell number as e-mail address" format like what you just posted. You'll need to know the provider for each number, and what address format those providers use. Obviously you already have Verizon taken care of.

Yes, but, if the exchange server goes down will I still be able to get the notifications. How will this work?
