I ruminate my opining of my longing for the years spanning the decade of the 1980s. Why do we allow ourselves to purchase seemingly amazing software only to get 90 percent of the way there and then allow our software provider to leave us hanging; having to find completion on our own, leaving and exiting the door after have had disappointed us and have only taken that which they want from us. We are left to get ourselves over the finish line, irregardless that we are disappointed by the experience. Perhaps I would be much more happier if women were currently the overwhelming multitude driving our industry today. IDK. What we have today in our capitalist society; across the entire IT industry, is not sustainable. This is not anomalous to the field of IT. Since begat, humans have a history of repeating this mistake.
