Customize Email Template is not working for Contact Groups

Hi Team,

To send notification, we use the default mail template and its working fine for multiple groups as well.

There are two contact groups Group A and Group B. Both groups shares same member list.

Now, we would like to send different mail template for Group A & B. To enable this, when we try to create a new template and send notifications, both the group members gets the notification in the same updated mail template. Ideally the expectation is Group A mail template should differ from Group B.

Can you please help us to resolve this as we need to customize the emails for different groups even if the groups shares the same member list.

Also, do we have the same mail template option for Host and Service level as well.

Are you setting these through Admin -> Notification Management ?

If so this will work ok, except you need to understand that any 1 user can only have 1 set of templates and if the user is a member of both groups only the last template applies will be what they are using.

Email templates are assigned per user and not per contact group so there isn't really a direct way to do this.

A possible option though would be to create multiple contacts with the same email address and apply different templates to the contacts.
