Hello, I am needing specific step-by-step directions for configuring a Mac OS Client for your product.

If we can get these we will gladly purchase the product as long as we can get these instructions.

Thanks

We have several plugins in the exchange for Mac systems.
http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Pl ... OS--2F-OSX

Additionally you may be able to install and configure SNMP for you Mac and use any SNMP plugins.

If you have detail on what you want to monitor on the mac we may be able to be of more assistance

While I cannot give you a complete step by step, I would guess you should be able to monitor all of these with SNMP if you installed it on the machines you are monitoring.

My recommendation would be to get SNMP installed on one of your workstations and you can use the following link as a guide to find the oids you want to monitor
http://www.oidview.com/mibs/

combine this with running the following from the Nagios server you can usually find the OIDS to monitor

Code: Select all

# snmpwalk -v2c -c <COMMUNITY_STRING> <IP_ADDRESS> <BASE_OID>
This will walk through all the possible oids on the server starting at <BASE_OID>

Once you have the oids to monitor you can run the SNMP wizard to complete the setup. after you have one configured, the others should be the same.
