I have just encountered this product and was pleased to see there was an evaluation available so I have down loaded the latest OVA file (5.4.2-64) but when I try to load it using vSphere Client v5.0.0 for EXSi 5.0.0 I get the following:

The OVF package requires unsupported hardware.
Details: Line 25: Unsupported hardware family 'vmx-09'.

Can anyone tell me how I can fix this please, and more to the point what it actually means.

It seems like you would need to either upgrade your version of ESX or use VM Converter...

I also found a solution to a similar problem here:
