If you just needed to "mute" the sound, you could click on the speaker from the GUI. If you wanted to remove a contact, you would need to modify configs manually, e.g "/opt/mntos-1.0.4/networks.ini". Is this what you are trying to accomplish?

I would like to remove the notifications all together if possible. I have this view on my main Nagios xi home screen and even if you mute it the notifications sound.

How did you add the MNTOS view? Did you use the Custom URL dashlet? When you open the page in a new tab, do you see "?mute=1" in the URL?

Example:

Code: Select all

http://<ip address>/mntos/index.php?mute=1&style=default&network_id=1&critsound=1
Is sound currently muted on the actual MNTOS server? If it is not muted, click on the speaker icon to silence it, then try re-adding the dashlet.

If this is not how you added MNTOS view to XI, please describe in details all of the steps you took. We will try to recreate the issue in-house, and recommend a solution.
