Acknowldgement is not working

Hi ssax,
I have PMd you the nagios.debug and ndo2db.debug files.
those were getting rotated within the span of 7 to 10 minutes. please let me know if you require further logs

Did you try rebooting the system? If you haven't, please do.

Try this, please run this tail command (and leave it running):

tail -F /usr/local/nagiosxi/var/cmdsubsys.log /usr/local/nagios/var/nagios.log

Then try to submit the acknowledgement again and send me the full output.

thanks for the reply, i did reboot the machine before. becuase it is not just about acknowledgment of service, now when i reboot server or restart nagios service ipcs -q peaks to max and web gui greyed out all services for hours and then it starts working again.

I have rebooted the machine this morning to get the said logs.

after reboot the web gui showed all the service greyed out and was not showing any acknowledgement option tab.
same was for the hosts check but atleast hosts check had the option of 'Force an immediate check'

Ok, we're not seeing the issues based on your profile information.

Do this, please run this tail command (and leave it run):

tail -F /usr/local/nagiosxi/var/cmdsubsys.log

Then apply configuration through the web interface and send the full output of the tail command after it finishes or fails.

Can you try moving the DB back to the XI server to see if that resolves the issue?

settings applied successfully, took longer time though.
after applying settings ipcsq is peaked to max values. And web gui has greyed out all services and checks

In Addition to that now the web gui is not recovering from greyed out status.
I am receiving email and sms alert and but can not see services or host status on web gui

All services greyed out and not recovering although operation centre tab is showing correct results and notifications are working
I have restarted Apache but no luck

deleting retention file has started the webgui, but all my acknowledged and scheduled downtime alarms are now active.
