Display expanded object definition

Hi everyone
I'd like to know if there is a way that I can check expanded object definition that Nagios actually use.
I explain myself. We all know that we can use templates to make configuration easier and more efficient, but when Nagios check configuration files, it expand object definitions in order to get a "free template" one, just like if we hand-type every complete definition.
What I need is to expand a particular object definition on-demand so I can check if template are correctly applied. I there a command or some other utility to do that.
