only custom notifications working for one server

We are not receiving notifications( critical,warning) for services until we send custom notification. if we send custom notification, it notify us.

its only happening to one server instance. please help us.

Can you verify you have user notifications preferences set

Click username (upper right) -> Notification Preferences
make sure Enable notifications is checked and all boxes below
Update settings

Click Notification Methods
Make sure email is checked.
