Nagios system operational readiness checklist/scripts?

Hi. Has anyone shared a script or checklist that could be used to "verify" that the Nagios XI system is ready for operation? Our server ops team does periodic patching and I'd like to have a tool that could give us confidence that the system wasn't somehow placed in a less reliable state.
Thanks!

Hello,
@awilson. The most reliable way to go about this is to spin up a test non-production clone of the Nagios XI and apply all patches and updates there first. Then monitor the non-production system's performance for a week. Your license allows you to do that for free:

Another, the less reliable option is to check the XI System Component Status dashboard and the Monitoring Engine Status dashboard under the Admin menu.

I'm only half-joking: Break something and see if Nagios goes off.
Sometimes when we @ Rex write custom checks, we can't have them tested until something really breaks, and that is a bit frustrating.
If you can afford a really good test environment, that's the best way for sure tho!
