Illegar character applying configuration

Hi there!

I get the follow problem: When I do the "apply configuration" in NagiosXI it shows me the follow error:

I don't know where to look, what is the Omnichannel GTD and where is the illegal character, in fact, I had deleted the hosts 'FAL-CHS-PAN, and still having the problem.

Go to the CCM > Services, and modify the Omnichannel GTD service on both hosts - FAL-CHS-PAN-01 and FAL-CHS-PAN-02 by removing the offending (illegal) characters from the service description. Save, and apply configuration.

it doesn't find the service

and the hosts FAL-CHS doen't have a service called "Omnichannel GTD" :(

When an Apply Config is ran and it finds an error, it will try and revers to a last known good configuration and that could be why you cannot find the new checks.

It could be that the configs in the CCM are not is sync with the running config and that is causing the errors.
If you follow this procedure, you should be able to fix the errors and Apply the Config.

login to the XI GUI and go to the Core Config Manager
Under "Tools", click "Write Config Files" or if you are running a newer versions of XI, The menu is called "Config File Management"
Click the click the "Write" button, then the "Delete" button then click the "Write" button and then the "Verify" button
If you get any errors, resolve them and click on the "Delete" button, "Write", "Verify" until all of the errors are resolved.
Click the Apply Configuration link and click the "Apply Configuration" button after ALL of the errors are resolved.

I did the "write" "delete" "write" "verify" process and it did'nt show any error at the first try.

I also run the /usr/local/nagiosxi/scripts/reconfigure_nagios.sh script and the error result at the momment of applying configurations.

OK, the configurations are good so that is not the issue anymore but it could be something else causing the errors.

Run the following commands as root and post the output to the post so we can check them for any errors on what the issue is.

journalctl -xe
df -h
df -i
chage -l nagios

The problem was fixed, but I don't know what did the trick.
The one thing that I did was to search the servide in the mysql database and delete everything that I found related to "Omnichannel GTD". After that I tryed to restart nagios service but the service didn't stop so I had to kill the process itself. So I restarted nagios, ndo2db and npcd services, and after that the problem was fixed and at the moment of apply configuration, it return no errors.
