Comments while Removing/Adding/Changing CCM Objects

Hi Guys

Since most of the Nagios Objects changes on an enterprise environment are made coming from a Service Management system and managed by multiple employees. It would be ideal that we had the option of commenting (Tasks,Incidents, Changes, Request) while modifying/adding/removing objects in Nagios such as Hosts,Services,Host Groups,Service Groups,Contacts, Contact Groups and other likewise objects. It would be great for us to be able to track why those changes were made on the application and the comments that in my case I would use to refer the task or request that initiated the modification, would really help on the applications management.

Kind Regards

Daniel Carrança

Nagios XI was not meant to do this... However, adding/removing/changing objects is recorded in the audit log, so nagios admins can see which user was responsible for the changes that were made.

I could submit a feature request for adding this functionality to XI on your behalf (if you'd like). Please keep in mind that the decision to implement the enhancement is at the sole discretion of our development team. Thank you!

I don't have an ETA - sorry. It's on our Feature Requests list, but I don't know if/when it is going to be implemented.
