Host/Services Escalation doesn't work

Hi All,

i have created the host and service escalation but it do not receive the notification when the host/service has down. Would any expert can assits or advice on this. Below are the config file that configured. Many thanks

What version of XI are you using? The recently release 5.5.3 version updates the the core version to 4.4.2 to resolve some notification issues. If you're on a 5.5.x version I would suggest going to 5.5.3.

we are using nagios XI 5.4.2, will this is the known issue of the version as it affected the escalation doesn't work ?

The escalation problem I was thinking of was introduced after 5.4.2.

Do any of the escalation contacts get normal(non-escalated) notifications or do those fail as well?

https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios-XI.pdf covers setting up notifications for users. Go through it and make sure that notification are set up properly for these users as well as making sure the test email function works.

Hi,


Yes as checked, that's correct setting as provided previously.

There are no issue with the email notification as the normal notification alert is receiving , but it was not able to receive the escalation service/host notification.
