Hello Team,

I need a information . My status.dat file size in increasing gradually . I would like to know whether is there any threshold for status.dat file or will there be any performance issue due to larger size of status.dat .

What version of Nagios are you running? There was a bug in 4.4.x prior to 4.4.2 that could cause this to increase.

i am using 3.5 nagios core . i have huge number of service and current status.dat file sige in 80mb .. will that affect the performance of nagios .

No, that will not affect nagios at all.

It is only limited by the filesystem and memory, I wouldn't be alarmed on most systems unless it reached over 1GB

Thank you for the information . my Ramdrive hast 1 GB Space and i will keep an eye on the File system then.
