I need a way to take a Dashboard, relocate it to a different user, and then delete it from all the Other users.

I want to basically un-deploy it, work on it, and deploy it later. I do not want to lose it. I want it to be owned by a different user.

Is there a process to do this? I am okay with pulling it from the sql and changing it that way if I have to.

I tried to clone it, but when the original is deleted, the clone and the deployed copies get deleted.

I have many dashboards and need to be able to manipulate them in some way. Sorry if this sounds confusing.

Suggestions anyone?

What version of XI is this? This worked on my 5.5.5 machine:

1. Deploy dashboard - Keep Synced unchecked
2. Log in as another user, clone the deployed dashboard, and rename it. If the default clone name is kept then it will be deleted with the original is deleted.

You solved it. The clone and then rename did the trick.
