CentOS VMWare Image size

I have downloaded and extracted the NagiosXI VMWare image. When using VMWare converter (v4.0.1) to convert the vmdk to VMWare ESX the virtual disk size is 60 GB and cannot be changed. I've allowed the process to complete and bring NagiosXI into the ESX environment with the 60 GB disk size with the intention of using the "Migrate" tool which normally allows you to reconfigure the disk size. This is also locked into the 60 GB size as I am unable to change it that way. Is there a way to make this a more reasonable size?

We just changed the VMware image size from 60GB back down to 8GB. After much research, we didn't find any way to prevent the drive from expanding to its full size when converted/imported to ESX. Its easier to increase drive space than decrease it, and 8GB is much better for backup/disaster recovery situations, so we'll likely leave the default at 8GB from now on.
