Hello,

We're looking at spinning up a new EC2 instance in AWS to host a Nagios XI installation using the official Nagios Xi AMI that's available (Nagios Tech Team official ID - 766915741798). This instance would be monitoring 63 hosts 470 services and will most likely grow over time up to around 100 hosts 800 services. I'm following "https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... -Cloud.pdf" and it recommends a m1.small instance or larger for best results. Based on the information I supplied, what EC2 instance type\size would be recommended?

Thanks ahead of time.

Hello, @FrontlineIT. Generally speaking, t2.medium should be able to handle your install. However, this really depends on the type of service checks that you're planning to execute. Some checks use less resource consuming plugins and some are using resource heavy plugins.
