This weekend a server went down Friday afternoon and we did not receive emails stating it was down.
What steps do I need to take to troubleshoot why?
I sent an email directly from the server and received it.

Hi Lee,
If you are able to receive test emails from Nagios XI that will rule out any issues with mail configuration, please verify that you receive an email when you got to Home > Hosts Status> select the server/host > Advanced > Send Customer Notification. Also do you know if this issue is affecting all of your hosts?
The next thing to check would be your configuration settings. Let's double check your Alert Settings and Contact settings for the server that went down on Friday. Go to Configure > CCM Core Configuration Manger > Hosts > select the server/host and verify the following:
1. From Check Settings, verify the check period.
2. From Alert Settings, notifications are enabled.
3. From Alert Settings, verify the notification time period.
4. The correct contacts or contact Groups have been selected.
If you are unable to find the issue, please send me your system profile and name of the host that went down and I can review your configuration files.
To send us your system profile. Login to the Nagios XI GUI using a web browser.
Click the "Admin" > "System Profile" Menu
Click the "Download Profile" button
Save the profile.zip file and upload it to a cloud storage of your choice. You can share a link with me in a personal message.
After you upload the profile please post something in this thread to bring it up in the support queue.

Thank you. I found that several of the servers did not have users checked in the Notifications section. How do I make bulk changes to make sure that it's the same on all servers?

You can use the Bulk Modification Tool to easily edit more than one host or service at a time . Go to Configure > Core Configuration Manager > Tools > Bulk Modification Tool > Add Contacts and select the hosts and services you wish to modify.
