acknowledgments not stay even when marked as persistent.

I told to fix a Nagios system without any knowledge about it and have made some progress in fixing it. I found out that MySQL and ndo2db where corrupt but was fixed with a Clonezilla image.

Yet now we can acknowledging notifications even with the persistent options selected end up just disappearing when the service get check again. The fact that there are no more error message to help me debug and when I update the MySQL nagios_notifications table with the has_been_acknowledgment and persistent and it still does not keep. Sad part is this is version 2.1 I’m working on.

Anyone got any ideas?

Unfortunately I'm not really able to tell you what the expected behavior for 2.x nagios is. The most recent version is 3.3.1.

Unfortunately It's been nearly 4-5 year since I last touched 2.x even then it was 2.7 and that knowledge is well past fleeting, I don't ever recall seeing the behaviour you're describing though and I'm not sure where you would find some one who's familiar with a version that old.
