SELinux

Hello,

Afaik Nagios XI isn't compatible with SELinu in enforcing mode at the moment. Out of our +-150 Linux servers, our Nagios XI server is actually the only server where SELinux isn't in enforcing mode, which has been pointed out to me several times.

Is there already a way to make it work in enforcing mode?

If not, are there any plans to make it work in enforcing mode?

Grtz

Willem

Hello Willem,

Presently, we don't have an official selinux poilicy package for Nagios XI, and running in enforcing mode is not currently supported. While we get an occasional inquiry about SELinux support, it's not something the we currently have on the XI roadmap.

Thank you [email protected].

SE Linux is something we may add it the future, but for now we recommend installation on a clean, minimal install. Did you have any other questions or is it ok to close this topic?

Benjamin,

SELinux support is 'important' for us. Please add +1 from Digipolis for this needed security feature.

@Jorgen Are you using https://github.com/jvandermeulen/SELinux-Nagios on Nagios XI in production?

Noted. Appreciate your input and I will definitely raise the issue here as requested security feature.
