Hey Gents quick question I am really looking for advice. I am monitoring VmWare Datastores through the hosts, and it works great. I need some Nagios wisdom though; I am monitoring 3 DataStores through 8 Hosts. When one datastore goes critical I would expect to get a message from every host monitoring that datastore. I want to monitor all the hosts just in case one goes down I am still good, but I also don't want a message from every host all saying the same datastore went critical. Is there a way to say if this service is critical don't notify me from the other hosts?
Any Ideas?
Nagios XI 5.5.8
CentOS 6.8
VMware 6.5
Multiple notifications from different hosts; same service

Really the only way to set this up would be to monitor the datastores on all of the hosts, but do not setup alerting.
Then, proceed to create a Nagios BPI group containing the datastores.
https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... BPI_v2.pdf
Finally, run the BPI wizard and monitor this BPI group, then setup alerting for this BPI group
