Since we are a global organization we wanted to operate nagios xi in UTC so there is no confusion about zones and daylight savings, scheduled downtime etc. The server itself is using EST, and the users that are logged in will be using their own timezone.
In which places do I need to update the timezone? php, mysql, config files etc...
What are the downsides of doing this. ?

Re: Running in UTC
Hello @sanjayhiranisq,
Currently, Nagios XI doesn't alter time information based on user locations. Typically a standard timezone is chosen for scheduling, alerting and notifications. One thing to note, the timezone settings between the server and Nagios XI must be in sync for all features to work properly.
We have a detailed instruction guide on how to update your Nagios XI software and server time settings (see document below).
