Hello all!

I have noticed that under admin\system configuration there is a system profile which displays all of my nagios servers vitals. Can this information be displayed for all of the devices in my network on the page of each individual device?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That is displayed on the on the system profile page is all of the pertinent info needed to place a service call.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For example a system goes down. The business owner has to place a service call. After clicking on the downed system he gets a page with the system profile info:
Host Name IP OS, service pack, hardware info ect. This page would also contain the details of the error Nagios reported.
Best case scenario would include :service call contact information, systems parents and dependencies, and if any of those parents or dependent are in scheduled downtime ect.
Installed software and software version's would be a plus :D
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As for me and my noobishness read on:
===========================================================================
My sad tale begins in a secret meeting with my manager and his director in an undisclosed location known only to a select few. That is the directors office in our admin building. Few go there and return again my friends.

A few months later I find myself the guy who will be managing Nagios for our 1500ish it resources.

As for experience, I am blessed with a rock solid background and qualifications. My qualifications for this task are provided here:: sql, nagios (core & XI) Linux, xml, css and finally, the very concept of coding anything higher that missyping the product keys for any software you can thinkl of.

Interestingly enough with a good teacher (thanks Chad), and the fact that Nagios XI's interface is really nice and easy to understand, my panic attacks have not been less severe and frequent as I originally believed. But I have much to learn, well...all of it actually.
I would like to say more but I hear footsteps....
Help me Nagios bro's and sistahs, you are my only hope.

Being the system profile page can pull information directly from the server it is a bit easier to do for the server itself.

It certainly could be done, but you would have to create a plugin that would collect all the data you want.

We do have a notes component that adds an additional tab to the status detail page for hosts and services that you could use to document the details of the host/service.
