XI Installation to non-standard location 2019

Post by awilson »

Hi. I searched and saw older posts that state that the supported installation location is /usr/local/... Is this still the supported path?

The system admins are moving all product installs away from /usr and I'd like to understand the supported answer before I seek a waiver.

Thanks!

Some users have had success installing Nagios XI in custom locations, using symlinks, however this is NOT "officially supported".

If you had your XI installed in a custom path, and you were having issues because of that, we would try to help you out, but we could not guarantee that your problem would be resolved. You could be on your own with this one...

I strongly suggest that you use the "default" paths in order to avoid future problems with the software.
