[Solved] postgresql failed to start

Hi,

We've just rebooted our Nagios XI box after adding extra CPU to the VM.
I found the following guide (is it still up to date?) on how to correctly stop the services prior to reboot.

They all started back up fine, apart from the postgresql service.
Attempting to start it fails with:
/var/lib/pgsql/data is missing. Use "service postgresql initdb" to initialize the cluster first.

Is this an issue? I'm not sure how XI relies up postgresql and whether it is an issue with the service not running?

Thanks.

Your system may not be using postgresql as this is only used in older systems that have been upgraded.

so the stopping and starting of postgresql is likely not necessary.

If you can login to your system, Nagios XI is not using it.
