Hello

I have system, where I have Unix servers (5 together). I would like to have the nagios installed to one of the servers (to get started with) and monitor the disk space, used device sizes (it is a database) etc. I am not sure which Nagios to install? Nagios blugins? I tried to install the Plugins and when I try to execute ./configure, I get the following errors:

bash-3.00# ./configure
checking for a BSD-compatible install... build-aux/install-sh -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking for a thread-safe mkdir -p... build-aux/install-sh -c -d
checking for gawk... no
checking for mawk... no
checking for nawk... nawk
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... no
checking build system type... sparc-sun-solaris2.10
checking host system type... sparc-sun-solaris2.10
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cl.exe... no
configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH
See `config.log' for more details.

I have missing env variables and C compiler? Or what...?

Thanks!
Nappi

Probably want to start here.
http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/toc.html

If you have issues after that, post them to this forum, you'll get a lot more help with any issues you encounter.

The latest version of Nagios Core, and the Nagios plugins can be obtained from http://www.nagios.org. The current latest version of Nagios is 3.4.1
