Disable presentation of service alerts in the custom url win

We have a different flavor of another post on this board. Each of our IT staff has their own login for NagiosXI so their work (comments, acknowledgements, etc) can be tracked by their username. However, we have virtual machines on VMware and in Microsoft Azure that are sometimes powered down for resource management or costs. When they are up we need to track downed services. We would like to not see the downed services if nd only if the VM is powered down (scheduled downtime?). How do we do this? Is there a guide?

Hi
@medleyb,
Scheduled downtime is used to prevent unwanted notifications during maintenance or other types of service interruptions. I have included a link below to our guide on how to schedule downtime.
Another option is to use
Time Periods to control when active hosts and services checks are enabled. Nagios also supports time period exclusions.
Let me know if this answers your question.
