State report doesn't work

Hi,
I would like to list the number of critical alerts for a particular service group during year 2018
I use Reports ->State history
Then :
Custom period
Limit to my service group
States = hard
Host/Service = Service

It doesn't display anything whereas there's at least one service in critical state in 2018.

Please help me

Are you able to see any data for the same time range? These values are stored in the nagios database and may be removed automatically based on the settings under Admin > System Config > Performance Settings > NDO Database > Max State History Age.

Hi,
When I set no filter I can see datas from the same time range.
It's the service group filter (for some particulars service groups) that makes display nothing (whereas all my services have a service group)
Also the filter on states doesn't work, it displays : WARNING, CRITICAL, UNKNOWN,OK whatever the filter could be (soft, hard).

So it does return results for some service groups but not others?

It may require more time to return a report if there are filters applied - try increase values in the php.ini as described in https://support.nagios.com/kb/article/n ... e-611.html. You could also try running the report for a smaller time frame(maybe a month of last year) to see if it behaves better and let us know if we're on the right track.

=> The error is "No matching results found. Try expanding your search criteria." and it works for some groups so I don't think it's the source of the problem

You could also try running the report for a smaller time frame(maybe a month of last year)
=> Tried with no success for a particular service group

Interesting. Can you attach a screenshot of the settings you're running the report with(include range, service group name, etc...) and PM me a copy of the profile(Admin > System Config > System Profile > Download Profile)?

I wonder if it's having a problem with character encoding based on that screenshot. Try creating another group simply called "test" and add the members to it and see if that report returns the expected results.

Great, that was the problem : I removed the accent and now I've got results.
The problem remaining : I would like to select only critical services but when I select hard I have services in critical but also in ok or unknown state.

Which version of XI is this? Can you provide a screenshot of this behavior too so that we can see the options selected and some of the results?
