users to control all hosts and services

Post by MOHANREDDY »

Hi,

I have a scenario and need help on configuring it.

I have users A, B,C ( contacts) and some host/services are accessible to them, and i have a contact D which is the distribution list of A, B, C. I need to send alerts to only contact D but not to users A, B, C (contacts) but those hosts/services should be accessible to only users A, B, C.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Inb the CCM for Contact A, B & C set

Host Notifications Enabled = Off
Service Notifications Enabled = Off

Save
Apply Configuration

If i set Host Notifications Enabled = Off and Service Notifications Enabled = Off, those contacts will not be able to receive ant alerts in the future, is there any way just to disable to receive notifications from servers but not all.

There isn't any granular way to make notifications enabled/disabled on a per host/service per contact basis

If i disable host/service notification of those users, they won't be able to receive escalations, so how can i create escalation for those users?

You can't.

I don't really have a solution if you don't want them to receive notification on one hand but then do want them to receive escalated notification, the only thing I can think of would me more contacts with different emails for the escalations.
