Circular dependencies

We have a complex network. A single router is ofter both parent and child of another one, depending on the active links. I asked in the past how to manage this with Nagios and got no good answer. Has something changed in the last few years or are we still limited by the circular parent/child issue?
Bye, Dario

Hi Dario,
I don't believe anything has fundamentally changed in respect to logical rules for network relationships. There are essentially 3 options available in Nagios XI:
1. Parent/Child Relationships
2. Service and Host Dependencies
3. Business Process Intelligence Component
Have you considered using the BPI Component as you can create complex rules based on group health to determine overall network health?
